Tutor Spotlight: Katie

She's leaving on a jet plane soon for cleaner air and a slightly slower pace than what New York City offers, but we loved having Katie here at Top Honors. This Massachusetts transplant has bitten the proverbial bullet and is changing her career path...to that of a math teacher!

Katie says,
"I joined Top Honors because I love working with kids. I tutored a lot in college and I wanted to continue to volunteer after [sic] moving to New York. Every week I am excited to find out which student I will be tutoring and which game we will be playing. It is great to come back each week to see the students’ hard work pay off when they pass their assessments!
Top Honors is the main reason for my decision to pursue a teaching career. I am excited for the fall when I will be teaching math full time in Denver!"
Several of our tutors have taken the plunge into the exhilarating world of math education after volunteering with Top Honors. We are happy to have played even the smallest role in such a life-changing decision and wish Katie the very best in Colorado.
